researching dialog contents to develop a app module - freezes when retrieving recursive children

Heiko Folkerts-4
Hi all,
I am still working on the app module for the powerdesigner. In a dialog there is a tab with grants that are organized like a table. The displayText of the foreground window shows the headings but not the details.
So I tried to dig arround with the python console. When I try to list the recursiveDescendants of the dialog window the requests gets cancelled by the watchdog.
Ofcourse I tried researching the contents with the navigation commands in NvDA but the window hierarchy seems to be to weired for me - I loose my orientation where I am in the window tree.

I know that there are a bunch of different windows in the tree e.g. comboboxes, buttons etc. How should I start researching on this and how can I make NVDA list all descendants to get a better clue?

Heiko
