What DLLs does NVDA need?

John J. Boyer
You have probably seen the discussion of my problem that the header and other quick navigation keys don't work on
websites. I'm told that uninstalling something made a needed DLL unavailable. It seems to me that this shouldn't
happen. The only thing that was uninstalled was Avast Free Antivirus. Is there a way of finding out which DLLs NVDA
needs? Another problem I am encountering is that after installing Microsoft Office 2016 Personal Edition NVDA can no
longer detect when one window is closed and another becomes active. It used to switch automatically. Now it won't
switch until a dialog box becomes active. It seems to me that NVDA should be more robust. I set logging level to debug,
but I didn't find anything useful after running some tests.

Ik have an extensive background in programming. It is just possible that I may be able to help with NVDA.

John

Assumedly you can see the mode change to browse in browsers though, can you.
In the one time I had this, it remained in focus mode or more  actually a
kind of direct mode with no virtual buffer to be browsed.
If brows mode is working and you can see/hear the mode change at edit
boxes on line then the fact that  the keys don't work seems pretty odd to
me.
I hope Jamie can sort this out as it has me intrigued as well.

You might need to put the  details of the system on here again as the devs
do not all read the main  help list, it would take up far too much time.

I didn't ask about browse mode. I am trying to find out about NVDA as a programmer.
