VBA Coding

Francisco R. Del Roio

Hello,

I have a problem with NVDA in office’s VBA.

I cannot edit the code because sometimes the code editor is interfered by other Windows or something.

I cannot provide more info about this because I don’t know so much the developer tools of nvda.

What I can do about this problem?

Cheers,

Hmm, well these are the macros in the pro version of office I assume.
I only have older versions of these, but can confirm that cursor placement
and other weird things occur in the editor. I put this down to my old
version, 2002 being not supported.

Re: VBA Coding

Well if its not supported by nvda, then I doubt you will get it to be
supported. Old software is what it is, and if not many use it you would need
to find somebody who can program to try to get an app module made for it.
I'm not currently up to speed whether this function exists in the newer
versions of Office, and at what cost, or even if they are supported. anyone
here care to let us know?
I have the issue as I have an Access database which uses vba macros and I'd
rather like to bring it up to date, as the 2002 version of it is not very
good on windows above xp, and runtimes of the exe do not support editing of
macros.
It is in effect a .net framework  thing these days. This can be accessed in
nvda, but its tricky to actually judge formatting unless its something you
work with every day, which I do not, and anyway, I'd not know if one could
import the vba macros into it and export them back as it all ends up on one
big file.
Another issue with access databases is that as far as I know the field type
used in the finished database do not support cursor  navigation with speech
either. Not a major issue, but still annoying.
