Reconfirming subscriptions to this list

Brian's Mail list account BY
I notice that the Sourceforge system is now asking us to fill out a quite
annoying form to remain subscribed.
Not only are they asking about the lists we do belong to, but they are
plugging a whole raft of newsletters which are on the list as well.also thy
use a capchar to confirm the settings.
I find these very difficult to remember the number or letter sequences and
needed two listens to them to get them.
Seems in this day and age of accessibility this is very bad  practice.
 Just saying.

Re: Reconfirming subscriptions to this list

Joseph Lee
Hi,
There is a more serious issue that's happening on related lists hosted on
Freelists, which leads me to believe that an emergency list migration for
affected lists is in order.
Cheers,
Joseph

Noelia
Hi, I agree with Joseph. I'm updating an add-on named reportSymbols due
to a requested feature. I will see if I can post on the add-ons mailing
list.
Cheers.

I am told by Sourceforge lists that I am now back on this list, though I
don't post much I do read here. The issue is actually more widespread in
that some mail lists and people simply sending out newsletters seemingly are
getting blacklisted by such services leading to ISPs not delivering their
mail until they request removal.
I suspect paranoia over phishing and spam since the big wannacry issues
recently started by opening a phishing email.

Are you sure that whoever you might want to move any list to, will not end
up with the same issues merely due to the bulk nature of the emails being
send from a domain?

Hi,
As for staying here or moving to another place, that's up to Mick and Jamie
to decide. As for nvda-addons list, it's in my hands as I am the owner of
that list.
Cheers,
Joseph
