Hi. I just updated to latest next and can't reproduce this in Chrome. What kind of document were you working with? Please provide a log fragment. Actually, now that I've said that, browse mode won't work in Firefox
after I restart NVDA until I restart firefox. This does not repro with Chrome, and also only seems to happen if I close NVDA while Firefox is focused. Not sure if this is a regression, or if it's always been this way and I never noticed. Oh and Thunderbird does this also, I think.

Oops, my message was meant to be sent to the list. Anyway, I can't
reproduce it with those addons. But I can reproduce it pretty reliably with the NVDAExtensionGlobalPlugin addon (available via the French community site). This plugin is relying on private NVDA API which has now been removed. Note that we don't make any guarantees whatsoever regarding private API. Hello, it's been my occasional observation also that sometimes browser windows won't read if they were open when NVDA was launched. But in this case the log clearly shows the plugin to be causing the issue.James Teh <[hidden email]> schrieb am Mi., 5. Juli 2017 um 03:10 Uhr:

Sometimes if a program is open and nvda is rebooted or a portable is run,
all sorts of weird stuff can happen, no reading of edit areas, menues not speaking etc, and always a reboot of the program concerned fixes it. Brian [hidden email] Sent via blueyonder. It seems they try to mix various addons into one; there are various
features like speech history, the announcing of clipboard commands, managing complex symbols, saying the name and version of an application, selective command keys announcement to name a few.
