[Nvda-dev] Running Setup.py

Iris Pang`
Hi,
I'm currently attempting to compile a portable version of NVDA. I've got Python 2.5.2 and all other depednet packages installed.
How do I run setup.py?
Thanks,
Iris

In fact, the packaging instruction was available at project wiki but the wiki is closed now. To create a dist directory, you need to install py2exe(http://www.py2exe.org/) and NSIS(http://nsis.sourceforge.net/) first.

This is my step to create the binary bits. I use svn-trunk version
  1. Execute source/generate.py
  2. Execute "source/setup.py py2exe"
  3. Setup script will compile the program and copy its dependencies to /source/dist
  4. Run installer/nvda.nsi. The /source/dist  directory will be packed to NVDA_trunk.exe
I hope you can do it with no problem.

PS. Could anyone please copy the development information in wiki to trac?
