NVDA and Chrome in Gmail

Øyvind Lode
Hi all:

I sent the below questions to the nvda users list but never received
any replies.

I exclusively use the Gmail standard view to manage my emails and it
works absolutely brilliantly.
However, I have a problem when using Chrome.

NVDA 2016.1 and Chrome 50.
NVDA does not read/speak contents of the message body when I compose a
new message.
This is also true when replying to a message when focus is in the
message body of my reply.
NVDA provides no feedback at all.

Is this a NVDA or a Chrome bug/problem?

Thanks,

Øyvind

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!

Hello,
Gmail standard view works OK in Firefox (although there are sometimes little bugs when composing), but It does not work well at all on Chrome, so if you would like a working gmail for now, head over to Firefox.
I do not know if the Chrome problems are NVDA or Chrome related.
Thanks,

This is due to a bug in Chrome (issue 542998) which was fixed in late March. It's currently available for testing in Chrome beta and later.

The issues you speak of are chrome related. Write to the google chrome access list. As I'm having the same problem under osx regarding chrome and  edit fields. They know of the issue but have not fixed.  See here for more.
