Feedback from me on new sounds

Brian's Mail list account BY
Hmm, my one issue about  edit and browse mode is they are too quiet and
brief. for example in a form you need to really know when you are in an edit
field. some of these fields speak saying sometimes helpful stuff but often
things like invalid entry after you drop into them, and this obscures the
little click which is very similar to the click you get from Firefox
navigational sounds ie the old link click sound.

There is also a noise when you are about to  install nvda and are asked to
agree, what is the purpose of this noise?

Not having a moan, just wondered about it that was all.

Is there any way to  have new or old sounds selectable?

Re: Feedback from me on new sounds

Damien Sykes-Pendleton
Hi,
I actually have my own sounds for NVDA and I hate it when installing an
update constantly overwrites them. The first time it did that I had to
remake the sounds all over again. Needless to say I wasn't impressed. Then I
thought about sound manager or packs etc. But then I realised that would be
a little pointless for only 5 possible sounds.
I'm guessing that playing the sounds is the first thing that happens with
NVDA, even before addon modules are loaded, otherwise I would have suggested
that it be incorporated in the audio themes addon.
Cheers.
Damien.

Kind regards,
Damien.
