Subject: [nvda] NVDA not correctly reading aria-label on Windows

I am very new to accessibility issues and recently started working with NVDA on Windows for a project. I have the below code that works fine on Mac + VoiceOver, but fails to correctly read the aria label when on Windows + Chrome 54, Firefox 49 and IE 10/11. Instead of reading 'TL;DR switch' only reads out 'tl;dr' in the span. Can you please help with this?

Thank you so much for your help,

<div class="myClass">
    <input type="checkbox" tabindex="0" name="mycheckbox" id="toggle" onclick="toggleLongText()"
     aria-label="TL;DR switch">
    <label for="toggle" aria-label="TL;DR switch"><span class="active" tabindex="0"
     aria-label="TL;DR switch">tl;dr</span><span class="toggleshape"></span>
     <span class="inactive">tl;dr</span></label>
