Compiling branch next get an error.

Ch-L
Hi, I report this error after running  "scons source" command in last
branch Next on windows 7 Pro 64bit:

scons: *** [source\msvcp140.dll] Source `C:\Program Files
(x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio
14.0\VC\redist\onecore\x86\Microsoft.VC140.CRT\msvcp140.dll' not found,
needed by target `source\msvcp140.dll'.
scons: building terminated because of errors.

Any helps?

Re: Compiling branch next get an error.

Hmm. Maybe this is actually part of the Windows 10 SDK. It's not in that directory, but the fact that it includes OneCore in the name makes me wonder. We might need to document that as a new build dependency.

Is this Visual Studio Express or Community? Did you install the Windows 10 SDK, either as part of Community or separately if Express?

Re: Compiling branch next get an error.

Ok, I think is a  bad installation of sdk in this machine.

I've installed visual Studio 2015 Express for Desktop with VC++ and
Windows SDK 7.1.

In this machine is installed also Visual Studio 2010 tools, can be a
problem for Visual studio 2015 and SdK? You have noticed problems with
older installations of Visual Studio?

Thanks.

Chris.

Re: Compiling branch next get an error.

Reef Turner
I was getting the same error. I had to install `Tools 1.4.1` and `Windows 10 SDK 10.0.14393` by modifying my Visual Studio Community installation. This is a single option (the tools and SDK are selected together) in the Universal Windows App Development Tools category of the Features tab (when installing or modifying Visual Studio Community).
