\Any synthesizer driver developers using synthDriverHandler.SynthSetting.i18nName?

Joseph Lee

Hi all,

Is there anyone using synthDriverHandler.SynthSetting.i18nName for localized synth settings ring names? If yes, please let us know so I can hold off deprecating this attribute for a while.

Cheers,

Joseph

Is this used in the Pico driver?
I tend to use this on some very tinny sounding laptops. Its not apparently
on the web site but does still appear to work on the machines it was on
before.

In case the post from my other account got lost, could I ask if you have
tried the pico synth driver which hasbeen around for years for nvda and
still has its uses on somelaptops with very tinny sound, ie tiny speakers.
I don't see it still after a quick look on the add ons site, but it  was
still working on the last full release of nvda. It may not use this
function, but Ihave no idea so thought I'd mention it in case it was
overlooked. where is the download these days?
Another add on that seems to hve vanished was the nvda to SAM Dolphin Synth
Access manager, whic is a free download I think, that allows portable
Dolphin software to use its synths, and hence this patch also then allowed
nvda to use them as well.

The Pico synth driver can be still found on the extra voices page rather
than on the add-ons page:
https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/wiki/ExtraVoices
The SAM Dolphin synth was on some of the unofficial sources; it's still
available here:

Thanks, Maybe  there should be a cros link to these places from the add ons
so people can find them easier?

Incidentally, though the latest next seems fine, a couple of updates ago the
update to an installed next managed to put the settings  for the system area
pages back to default, needing me to copy back the current settings.
Just a point in case anyone else was worried.
